Moore & Jenkins – Louisiana & Mississippi Insurance Agents
Founded in 1938, Moore & Jenkins Insurance Agency is one of the oldest independent insurance agencies serving the Northshore and communities throughout Louisiana. Our office operates from one of downtown Franklinton’s most historic structures — the former Farmers Merchant Bank, built in 1901 — a setting that reflects the deep roots and enduring values of our agency.
Originally established by Mr. and Mrs. Moore, the agency was later led by their son Duke Moore and son-in-law Richard Jenkins, whose stewardship helped shape its long-standing reputation for service and integrity. Michael Mobley joined the firm in 2016 and ultimately became President, continuing the legacy of trusted, community-focused insurance across the region.

Started in the insurance industry in 1971, becoming President of M&J in 1973, developing the agency into one of the largest insurance agencies in the Northlake area. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Louisiana Board of Directors.
